PAED app for iPhone and iPad

Paediatric Allied Health services are fragmented over the
age groups, local areas and diagnoses. It is therefore difficult for
clinicians to allocate/ refer appropriately in this maze of both private
and public services. This deprives the patient timely intervention in
proximity to where the patient lives and to costs the parents/ carers
can afford. Therefore adequate medical services through GP’s and
Paediatricians frequently lacks available and appropriate allied health
assessment and interventions. This has been a major issue for many years
and has the potential to become more confusing through the new funding
strategies, which are on the horizon. More specifically, with the
emergence of person-centred funding and changes to disability services,
support for clinicians for appropriate and timely referrals is urgently
required to improve their quality, efficiency and accuracy of care and
overall the patient journey.

To help navigate this maze,this app has been developed to assist GPs,
Paediatricians and families access appropriate services in an accurate
and timely manner.
